Throughout his professional career he has participated in important and complex national and cross-border commercial transactions involving both listed and unlisted companies. He regularly advises on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity, securities and capital and project financing. He has extensive experience in legal advice in regulated sectors, including the industrial, energy, financial, consumer, telecommunications and new technologies sector, among others.
Before founding Belagua, he was a partner in the Andersen Tax & Legal, GTA Villamagna and Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo offices. He also worked as an internal lawyer at Commerzbank AG in Frankfurt and Madrid; he held senior positions in the legal department of Grupo Telefónica, as sub-director of the Legal Department of Telefónica Internacional in Madrid, and deputy secretary general of Unisource AG, Zurich; he was also secretary general and director general of legal consultancy at Ence.
As well as the practice of law and legal consultancy, he offers his wide teaching experience in academic institutions like ICADE; Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles, and Centro de Estudios Garrigues. He is an associate professor at IE University.
His usual working languages are Spanish and English, and he has knowledge of German, French and Italian.
